Naval Research Laboratory Sensor Node

NSN provided distributed screening of real‐time, near real‐time and archived data from infrared, multi‐spectral, and radar sensors.

SDL delivered three types of ground stations for this effort:

  • A ruggedized transit case system that provided capabilities for screening and printing archived data.
  • Real-time capable, rack mounted systems for ground and airborne use that received, displayed, processed, compressed, decompressed, evaluated, exploited, stored, and disseminated processed products via fixed and wireless network interfaces.
  • Desktop screening stations, interfaced with the ground stations via wireless and fixed networks, to receive, process, and display data.

NSN capabilities were demonstrated at sites in Montana, Georgia, Washington DC, and Maryland.
