Filter Test System

SDL performs optical spectral tests on filter components used in infrared sensors. SDL has the capability to test these filters at multiple angles of incidence and in a customized optical configuration matching that of flight sensors operating from ambient to cryogenic temperature in a high vacuum (~10^-6 torr) chamber. Spectral tests can be performed at multiple spatial positions on a single filter part to characterize filter uniformity. SDL has the capability to characterize multiple parts in each cold cycle to reduce schedule and cost.
