Gears Up for World's Astronauts and Cosmonauts
- For the first time in more
than a decade, the world’s “Space Fliers” will meet in the
United States. Utah Governor Jon M. Huntsman, Jr. and the Governor’s Office
of Economic Development are pleased to announce that the Association of Space
Explorers (ASE) XIX Planetary Congress is convening in Utah, October 9 - 15.
- 26 September 2005 Space explorers will land in Salt Lake City
- If you ever wanted to meet an astronaut or a cosmonaut, your chance has come. On Oct. 9, the Association of Space Explorers will convene its annual Planetary
Congress at the Grand America in Salt Lake City, and several events planned
as part of the elite gathering will offer Utahns a unique glimpse at Aldrin,
one of the first men to walk on the moon, or Leonov, the first man to walk in
space.

- Zhen Song, of China, and Hyo-Sung Ahn, of South Korea, love to talk about the project they are working on. Both are graduate students at Utah State University in the Department of Electrical
and Computer Engineering. On Tuesday, they presented a project called ODIS, or Omni-Directional Inspection
System. More than 50 state lawmakers and representatives of other Innovation
Campus companies were present at the Calibration and Optical Research Lab building
at the university.

Space Journey exhibition blasts off today in Idaho
- Jeff Duce and Robert Leishman, juniors in engineering at Utah State University, couldn't wipe off their grins Monday as they walked among the spacecraft, rocket engines and flight simulators at the Museum of Idaho.

space items that will be featured in the Space Journey Exhibit at the Museum
