Systems Engineer Hired
at Space Dynamics Lab
The
Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is pleased to announce that Dean Wada has
joined the company as Systems Engineer for the Russian American Observational
Satellites (RAMOS). As such, he is responsible for translating system needs
into requirements and coordinating the technical aspects of design, fabrication,
testing and integration of the satellites to meet those requirements.
Before joining SDL, Wada
worked for Boeing/Rockwell International for nearly 30 years where he served
as systems engineer, principal investigator or lead on projects including
SBIRS Low, Navy Theater-Wide Kinetic Weapon, GPS IIF, Navy Terrier, LEAP and
AIMU. Wada graduated from Harvey Mudd College, Claremont, California with
a BS in general engineering.
The RAMOS program has
received strong congressional support and is part of a Yeltsin-signed decree
naming SDL as Russia's teaming partner in the effort. The Russian and American
teams are presently working toward a launch in three to four years.
