Accountant Hired at USU Research Foundation
The
Utah State University Research Foundation (USURF) is pleased to announce the
hiring of Craig Merritt for the position of Accountant I. As such, he is responsible
for a wide range of accounting functions including financial reporting, budgeting,
payroll, forecasting, and accounts receivable and payable.
Merritt comes to USURF
from the Defense Contract Audit Agency in Denver, Colorado, where he served
as an Auditor. His duties included performing audits in connection with procurement
and contracting activities between the Federal Government and private industry.
He graduated from Utah State University in August 2000 with a BS in Accounting,
Finance and Economics.
USURF was founded in
1967 as a not-for-profit corporation owned by Utah State University. It was
established primarily to provide management and physical support of applied
research, to promote the discovery of new ideas and technologies and to enhance
research opportunities for the University.
