Software Engineer Hired at Space Dynamics Laboratory

The
Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is pleased to announce that Brett Francis has
joined the company as a Software Engineer. He is currently working on the Navy
Input Station (NAVIS). His responsibility will be developing software for the
Screener Processor Element program.
Before joining SDL Francis worked as software engineer for Sorenson Technology/Vision were he designed and developed various parts of a real-time videophone. He received his BS degree in computer science from Utah State University.
SDL has developed the NAVIS real-time data compression and decompression hardware used for instantaneous reconnaissance imagery reception and display. It allows the operator to process, display and manipulate imagery as the reconnaissance aircraft is flying, enabling clarification of targets and instantaneous strikes.
