The Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is pleased to announce that Scott Anderson has joined the company as an Electrical Engineer for the Advanced Reconnaissance Compression Hardware (ARCH) program. As such, he is responsible for detailed designs of ground and space flight electronics. He will work on projects from concept development through design, implementation, test and delivery to produce

Before joining SDL, Anderson was employed by Sorenson Vision/Sorenson Technologies for nearly 4 years where he specialized in areas including video compression, embedded video firmware, real-time operation systems and system administration. Anderson is a Summa Cum Laude graduate from Utah State University with a BS in Electrical Engineering. He is now pursuing a Masters in Engineering.

The ARCH program is an effort to develop the next generation of near real-time, image compression hardware solution and standards for the Navy. Hardware compression enables the transmission of real-time tactical reconnaissance images from an aircraft platform to a central evaluation, decision and command point.
